Running a successful home business is the dream for many people today. Whether you want to spend more time with the kids, make a few bucks while you’re home anyway, fire your boss, or simply stop wasting time in the daily commute, a network marketing home business can be the best work at home solution.

It’s not MLM that is the problem. It is hard setting up any kind of home business. And the main difficulty that most people have can be summed up in one word:
Focus.
Distractions, interruptions, boredom, spending too much time on unproductive tasks … working from home with no boss hanging over us, we all suffer from some if not all of these issues. They all lead to bad time management and lack of focus, which means less money coming in.
The worst thing we can do is hop from one task to another during the day. Every time we transfer our focus to a new task, we spend time getting into the ‘zone’ of the new task. Recent research has found that it can take as long as 20 minutes to get fully into the zone of whatever we are doing. Only then are we really focused on the task and able to work most effectively.
Yes, have plenty of breaks. Take 5 or 10 minutes to stretch, relax, fetch a glass of water. But do not watch TV or start reading something. bring a pen so you can write down ideas that come up during your break.
Set a schedule and stick to it, without allowing interruptions or getting distracted. Apply your focus to your number one priority for the day, and do not do any other work until it is completed. Or for longer projects, allocate a certain time each day to it, and catch up with your email, calls etc after it is done. But whatever you do, hold on to your focus through all of your working time.
